Abstract
The suitability for pulping of the roble, rauli and a hibrid of both is studied applying a conventional kraft pulping process. The physical and chemical properties of each wood is also studied.
The results indicate that the species studied are suitable for the production of chemical pulp. Among the species studied, rauli had the best physical and mechanical strength of the pulps.
