Abstract

This paper addresses changes in growth and nutritional status of the Eucalyptus grandis, and physical and chemical properties of soils after the application of pulp residues and ash. Soil porosity, water retention, and pH as well as P, K, Mg, Ca, and Na contents of the soil were enhanced. To determine the optimal utilization of pulp residues and ash, future studies should focus on proper manipulation, mineralization conditions, and methods needed for maintaining a nutrient balance in these substances.
