Abstract

This paper presents information and the preliminary results of a research on the hydrological processes in a natural forested catchment in the Reserva Forestal Malalcahuello, in the IX Region of Chile.
The study is associated with the research requirements in assessing hydrological impacts of land use changes. This report presents the general framework of the research, the preliminary results of physical characterisation of the experimental catchment and the studies that will be carried during the next 3 years.
