Abstract

The main objective of this study was to detect the insects associated with four tree species, two introduced and two native, and monitor them under laboratory and field conditions. The study sites were located in the province of Valdivia, Tenth Region, and Malleco province in the Eighth Region, selecting six localities where stands or plantations of the tree species were present. Thinning activities were programmed detecting the weekly arrival of insects. Six species in P. radiata were captured, another five in E. globulus, four in N. dombeyi and two in L. philippiana.
