Abstract
This study evaluates the influence of the nosebar pressure and wood heating temperature upon the peeling of two introduced species: Oregon fir and Cypress.
The analisis of the results indicates that the interaction of both variables significantly affects surface defects, veneer thickness and strength of the veneers.
Finally, the work indicates practical considerations for the peeling industry.
